Help people feel able to ask
Welcome beginners, explain unfamiliar terms and respond to the question being asked. Honest mistakes and respectful disagreement belong in a learning community.
Make the basis of advice clear
Say whether you are describing personal experience, a documented source or a possibility to investigate. Include relevant project context and acknowledge what is unknown. Do not present an unverified answer as established expertise.
Be open about commercial interests
Disclose relevant business connections. Useful discussion of competing products and approaches is welcome. Repetitive promotion, misleading recommendations and unsolicited sales messages are not helpful. The same standard applies to the businesses supporting this community.
Share responsibly
Post your own material or material you have permission to publish. Do not copy another person’s Facebook post, name or photographs into the forum without permission. Do not publish private correspondence, email addresses or precise home addresses.
An editorial answer to a generalised question should be clearly posted by its author; it must not pretend the original questioner has joined or posted here.
Keep disagreement constructive
Discuss the evidence and the approach, not the person’s character. Report suspected spam or abuse for review. A report is a request to assess the content, not proof of wrongdoing.
Return with what happened
If the discussion helped, share the result in the same topic. Unresolved questions and changes of plan are useful updates too.
